05 & 06 FIELD NOTES & SERVICE NOTICES
05 / OPERATOR FIELD NOTES 3 VERIFIED RECORDS
SITE 04B / TUNDRA RESEARCH TRANSECT 2026-08-14 09:15 UTC
HX-4 unit deployed at peatland permafrost monitoring plot. Calibration offset verified with reference dry-well thermometer. Zero drift observed across 72h continuous run.
SITE 12A / ALPINE BASIN DEPLOYMENT 2026-08-12 16:40 UTC
Ambient temperature plummeted to -28.4°C during frontal passage. Solar charging suspended automatically per low-temp lithium safeguard protocol. Internal heating element engaged.
REVISION ANNOTATION / REV 04.1 2026-08-01 11:20 UTC
Firmware v4.12 applied. Telemetry compression enabled on LoRaWAN uplink. Memory buffer efficiency increased by 38%.
06 / FIELD NOTICES
▲ CAUTION / NOTICE 08-B
Do not disconnect the atmospheric probe cable while the main 12.8V power rail is energized. Electrostatic discharge into ungrounded RTD sensor terminals may cause permanent calibration drift exceeding ±0.5°C.
ℹ NOTE / DIRECTIVE 14-A
When operating in environments below -20°C, ensure the external solar charge regulator is set to "Cold Battery" mode to prevent dendrite formation in the LiFePO4 cells during rapid charging cycles.
